The Story
A few years ago, I was on the CSULB Snow Team. I started snowboarding just six months after moving to the US, and in that moment, discovering snowsports changed my life. It proved that I belonged somewhere I wasn't "supposed" to.
Somewhere out there, the Zimbabwean Shaun White is waiting for a sign. This capsule is it.
This piece is designed by me as a tribute to my country of birth. It is a collaborative UNOFFICIAL Zimbabwean uniform for the Snow Team that one day will exist. We aren't waiting for permission—we are building the uniform ourselves.
This drop is for the kids who refuse to stay in their lane. For everyone who has ever been told "people like us don't do that."
