Twenty two kilometers west of Bulawayo, the Khami Ruins sit in the granite hills. A UNESCO World Heritage site. The capital of the Kingdom of Butwa, risen to power after Great Zimbabwe was abandoned in the 16th century. A city of stone walls, narrow passageways, chevron patterns, and cobwork huts. Built to last, built to trade.

Khami was connected. Spanish porcelain, Rhineland stoneware, Ming dynasty porcelain. Objects from Europe and China moved through this place for centuries. Before we talked about global anything, Khami was global.

Just like Khami was a place of international meeting, this shoe is intended to be universal. Whether you are walking the bush trails of Matabeleland, navigating the unpredictable roots of the Portuguese coast, or hiking the Dolomites while trying to avoid twisting an ankle on loose rock, this shoe has what you need.

We built it for the elements. The upper is a combination of premium suede and Matryx, a high performance technical fabric that is light, breathable, and incredibly abrasion resistant. We added a Tepordry® waterproof membrane because water does not check the forecast. The quick pull lacing system locks you in. A reinforced protective toe guards against rocks. And underfoot, a sculptural, aggressive outsole grips whatever is beneath you and eats the miles. We even put our yellow symbol on the heel, a quiet nod to where it comes from. This shoe was made to be taken outside.

The Khami 1 was our first attempt at making a boot. We were limited by our capabilities then, learning how to build something that could hold up to real terrain. But the Khami 2 is our greatest attempt yet. We did not just refine the first Khami. We rebuilt it from the ground up, blending the soul of a trail boot with the silhouette of a modern runner.

It is unisex sizing, built for everyone. It is made in Hong Kong by people who know how to engineer technical footwear. It is ready to go.
