About a year ago now, we had a chance that grew out of losing two of our biggest accounts. As a small brand losing those accounts meant that things got a lot tighter. We had to trim budgets, decrease spend on essential stuff, but at the same time try to grow. This meant dig deeper, make myself believe that I am the world's best designer.

This shoe was born in a week of meditation about failure, and whether or not I could make myself believe again that I am the world's best designer. This shoe began with the sole, and was designed with the sole as being the design inspiration for the rest of the shoe. The word Gadderer is a pigeon word between ndebele and english which means rider.

Sometimes when life ain't lifing you gotta just ride the wave.
