The Story

I designed this boot in two worlds at once.

I was hiking the Dolomites—those jagged, impossible peaks—and I kept thinking about home. About Matobo, the spiritual capital of King Mzilikazi's kingdom. The place where ancestors rest and dreams begin.

I asked myself: What would it look like if we built our own path?

Zimbabwe has never competed in the Winter Games. But that doesn't mean we don't belong in the mountains. That doesn't mean our kids shouldn't see themselves on snowy peaks or rocky trails.

This boot is the dream of a Zimbabwe that not only competes in snowsports—but inspires Black people, and everyone on the margins, to go out and claim those spaces too.

Hiking is something we do. Snowsports is something we do. This is the uniform we're building for the Snow Team that one day will exist.

The Build

Upper: Pig leather hairy suede. Soft, textured, and built to turn heads.

Construction: Bootie design with natural waterproofing. No seams, no shortcuts.

Lining: Pig leather inner liner for comfort that lasts.

Outsole: Rugged rubber outsole with a lightweight midsole. Built for trails, sharp enough for streets.

Construction: Cemented upper to outsole for durability and flexibility.

Details: Zimbabwe shield sewn onto the outer ankle of each shoe. A mark of pride. A statement of belonging.

Silhouette: Mid-top hike with classic Italian heritage styling.
