Binga Sandals (Animal)
Growing up in Zimbabwe access to what we called a beach was a little town on the shores of Lake Kariba, Binga. One of the most memorable trips we had there was in the early 90's with my late uncle, Hartwell. We fished on the shore, and while I held my starter, reed fishing rod, in the far distance we saw a couple of hippos float to the surface, to do what looked like yawning. There was hardly utility for beach slides, until we finally went to that beach in Binga, for what would be my first time, and most memorable.
The Binga slides are inspired by that heritage, but transcended to be comfortable with a cork footbed, wrapped in pebble leather. The upper is a pebble leather, with a fine suede back to it.
