The Moyo 1's named after my grandmother. I spent a great number of weekends at her home in a township. She recently turned 100, in a country with a life expectancy of 62. Not only is this shoe a tribute to who she is, but the role in my life in turning me into the person that I am.

"If someone gives you a safety pin..." she'd often say "...it means that person thought of you enough, to know you needed it, and to give it to you." This is the essence of a life of gratitude she instilled in me.
