The shape of this shirt was adapted from the kimono silhouette we have applied in a few different applications for this collection. Japanese designers have been the most influential in my aesthetic for The Rad Black Kids. The concept of this shirt was whimsy, and elegance. I had the shape of a woman's body at the forefront of my mind during this process. The muse for the entirety of this collection was Princess Diana, but specifically the goal of this shirt was an androgynous elegance. A piece that can transcend occasion of wear and gender of wearer.
