Skate Suit ShortsTRB ILSS L
A moment of pride: I have never thought I would get into suiting. I hold the art in high regard, and instead of adding to the noise of lapel size, button count, I thought it rather important to create a perfect compliment to our elegant boards. What if you could create a suit that you could skate in, could have moisture wicking in order to compliment natural movement. What if you could then use a material with natural stretch. What if you could skate in a suit.
I designed this suit with the idea of creating the perfect compliment to the "luxury longboard" which we created. Our longboards were influenced by the timelessness, and minimalism of high end women's purses. This suit is intended to be a piece that can be ridden all day, aggressively, sweated in, and later worn in the evening. This is due to the moisture wicking fabric, with a touch of natural stretch.
The kimono is designed specifically with attention paid to movement. We used a double face interlock fabric, which is an extremely smooth woven, with strands of polyester running inside it, for flexibility. The single strap buttons at the front of a single side of the kimono, not just for a touch of difference, but for durable wear, and fit. Torsion strength is taken into account (if correct sizing is done) in order to not pop the button off during riding. The strap buttons on the inside of the kimono as well, in order to hide the strap away at times the wearer chooses not to. The waist band is designed to accommodate for variable waist sizes, with a slight drop crotch in the pants. Pleating is added for a little extra formality needed. Androgynous/gender free design and perfect for those who have a care for inclusive fit, and exclusive product design.
